Every great enterprise begins with and takes its first forward step in faith”. In 1913, the Church of England Zenana Mission began a ‘finishing school’ for Indian girls. The founders wished that the pupils be imbued with Christian ideals and the poise and etiquette of an ‘English’ education. The old Mission house, an image of classical English grace was used as the main school building.
